Description
When it was released in 1994 the SuperCar was the largest LEGO set ever made and is widely considered as the best engineered class technic LEGO set. It gots four wheel drive with three differentials, four wheel steering with independent suspension all round and an operational four speed transmission box - there's even reclining seats, retractable side view mirrors and dash controlled pop up headlights. The V8 engine looks awesome - sadly there is one piece missing, one of the cylinder heads . You can easily find the part online to make a complete set but I think it gives it character as is - like a fabled barn find. I actually found the whole set in its box at the recycling dump - my lucky day! CONDITION: The box is structurally sound but has some tears on the picture - see pics No instruction manual - actually there’s only one page and a Technic promotional brochure More than 99% complete set - only one piece missing, (LEGO Technic OldGray Engine Cylinder Head) Some of the white pieces on the chairs and dashboard have yellowed where they were exposed to the Sun. Evidently the previous owner must have displayed the build for some time. The stickers have been applied to the pieces - no separate sticker sheet. I suggest searching online for reviews and build-up for this set - it was definitely a challenging build for me, took a full weekend following online instructions (original instruction manual is missing) but felt like a genius when I finally got everything to work. I’ve also built the B model F1 racing car model which is pretty cool in its own right.
